For the last couple years, Matt Golec (@mattgo on Green Mountain Gamers) has coordinated a board game math trade at the Carnage convention in Fairlee, Vermont. In a math trade, participants list the games they want to swap away on a Boardgamegeek.com geek list. Then they pick out the games they’d like from those offered by other participants in the trade. A computer program works a series of exchanges that maximizes people getting what they want.

Just yesterday, Matt posted the geek list for this year’s trade, dubbed It Came From the Carnage Math Trade. Hit the link for details, including how to list games you want to trade and generate your want list.

The list is young at the moment with three items as of this post’s writing, but don’t let that discourage you from participating. The more people who list games, and the more games they list, the better the odds of a trade working out for you.
