We had a lot of fun last down at Langdon Street Cafe’s Games Unplugged last night, hosted and bartended by the inimitable Ben Matchstick ( @bentmatchstick). Alex ( @alexbclay) and I got there a bit late, to find what seemed to be a game of Tsuro wrapping up with Bill ( @billparker), Brian, Rebecca and Cedar. While they went [...]

Looking for ongoing gaming relatively close to home. Up for most any type of games, but in roleplaying I prefer for the emphasize to be on roleplaying rather then powergaming. I can host, but the road requires 4WD and studded snowtires during winter.

Hi John,
Where do you live? I’m in Barre and I have pretty regular gatherings at my house on Monday nights along with occasional ones at other times. We mostly do board gaming of all kinds with an occasional one-shot RPG sessions.
Being in Randolph, you’re about equidistant to the Montpelier/Barre area and White River. Besides what Joe said, you may wish to check out the game nights that Triple Play has in W. Lebanon, NH. I know they play board games every Wednesday evening at Triple Play. I’m not sure what other gaming happens down there.
You also may wish to check out this thread on this page:

This was something discussed a while ago. Someone was asking about RPG’s in the Waterbury/Montpelier area. I’m not sure if anything ever came of it.
And, out of curiousity, how did you find this site?
Joe, I live in Bethel, almost in Randolph. I’d be interested in hearing more about gaming at your place. I’ll try to send you a private message with contact info.
Bethany, I found a link in a yahoo group.
Hi John from a fellow Bethel-onian! I work over in Vergennes so I spend more than half my time on the other side of the mountain (and mostly the WRONG days so I don’t often make it to Joe’s or Triple Play). But I second the recommendation for both.
