The sitcom Community just aired an episode where the characters play Dungeons & Dragons for the whole episode. There are no other world cutaways, like in The Gamers; it’s just people sitting around a table role-playing through an adventure.

And it is hysterical. Check it out on Hulu if that’s an option that works for you.

Community is consistently hilarious, in my opinion. This episode was great.

“Now this is a local elf tavern- but all races are welcome.”
    “Awwwww!”

I love Community. I wish Chang stayed in the game longer though.

He certainly was a game chang-er.

Community is a fantastic show. It’s surprisingly character driven for a weekly sitcom, so it might be hard for folks to dip in for a single episode, but I think it’s worth catching up on if you haven’t been watching.

I really liked the Christmas episode, which is shot in a classic Rudolph stop-motion animation style.

Or the zombie apocalypse episode. Oh, and I can’t leave out the paint-ball ‘Modern Warfare’ episode.
