Given that we have no dedicated game store, it’s hard to locate new gamers in this area. If anyone is interested, leave a message. If we end up having enough gamers, then we can begin scheduling local events on a monthly basis, especially with the winter months coming up.

I know how it is. We too have a hard time finding other gamers up in Orleans County without a game store. It is a challenge. Good luck to you!
Maybe fliers at the local colleges? Castleton, Green Mountain and St. Joesph. I have always been surprised that the Rutland area does not have a game store. Hope you find some gamers.
What about creating an event to draw local gamers together? A periodic game night for people to drop in and socialize.

Each month on the 3rd Saturday, we have a board game night. I try to keep it consistant so that hopefully, people in the area will come to know it exists and can count on coming each month. I use all forms of free advertising. All our local newspapers have calendar or event sections and I always send something to them each month about the game…[Read more]
As I understood it, Eric Bussiere’s Gathering of the Gamers just coincidentally fell on the same day as the national game day. I haven’t seen any sign of if/when the next one is.
