| Your Story | I’ve lived in Burlington, Vermont my whole life, which is good, because I love it here. I got into tabletop gaming in 2002, by way of the Baldur’s Gate computer game and stumbling across a cache of Cheapass and Eurogames in a student lounge in college. It’s only gotten better since then. While I seem to spend more of my gaming time on board games, it’s just because they’re easier to find people with whom to play. Role-playing games are my first and greatest love. I write a gaming blog, Held Action, about role-playing and board games and sometimes one, the other or both of them in Vermont. Check it out and leave a comment. Social media’s caught my interest lately, leading not only to the aforementioned gaming blog, but the genesis of this site and its forebear, Burlington Board Gamers on Ning. There’s a funny tension between online communication and a hobby that has its roots firmly in non-electronic modes of interaction. |
