You live in Glover!!!! OMG!! I have been searching for more new gamers in Orleans County for a while now. My husband and I live in Derby Line and have formed a tabletop gaming group called Border Board Games. Every 3rd Saturday of the month we play board games at the Derby Line Village Hall. And once a month we play and RPG (Song of Ice and Fire). We aim to play the RPG on the 4th Saturday but with busy schedules, that may not always be the case. We often hang with our Newport friends on the weekend to play board games too so we are open to playing more than once a month.
We have about 6 regular board gamers (not including ourselves) that attend. Our RPG group has just expanded so I’m not sure if the GM would want new players. We could be willing to enterain a 2nd RPG game.
For more info about Border Board Games, I have made a website. I do keep the dates current so that is a great place to look for the next game dates. The site is sites.google.com/site/borderboardgames.
We also attend many of the GMG events (like we are planning on attending Fall-oha) and always try to arrange carpooling with those who want to join us. We also attend Carnage, VT’s only gaming convention, and always try to fill our hotel room there.
Coming up on August 11th is the Derby Line Community Day. I volunteer to help with that and will be there with my fundraising booth. It is a really great day out since there is no admission and all the entertainment is free. It’s like an old fashioned community day. The SCA will be there with some demos, which I don’t know if that interests you or not. But if you decide to come up for the community day, let me know and I’ll tell you where I’ll be so we can meet.
My husband, Richard, is a reporter for the Chronicle and he thinks you may know his co-worker, Tena Starr.
Awesome, Tena is our closest neighbor and our place is right across from her’s behind her horse pasture. Jenny and I are going to try to get to the Derby game night next month. We’ll bring Castle Panic which is Jenny’s new favorite game. The community day sounds fun. We will be going to Glover Day on Saturday. Hope to meet you soon.
Hey, Karl, welcome to the site! Life in a yurt looks pretty cool.
So far we are loving it!

I’ve listed all the games we own on our website. If you see something you want us to bring, just say so and I will.
