I am not quite sure how this site works, but I live in the Barre, VT area, and I am looking for a new role playing group. Are there any in my area and what are you all playing?
I had two gaming groups, one in Burlington, one in Barre, but both of them broke apart over the past few years. Mostly because my friends moved away from the area. I am open to any system, and I haven’t really played since before 4e D&D came into the picture. I prefer fantasy and sci-fi, but I would be open to other genres like Mutants and Masterminds.
I am also into board games and miniature games(Malifaux and Warhammer Fantasy), but I mostly want to throw dice and have some fun.
Also in the Barre area is Frank and Siobhan Perricone and Joe Weinmunson. I don’t know if they are on GMG but they are on Facebook. They are roleplayers that dabble a bit in board gaming too. This weekend, I’ll be meeting a new guy, Rick Beun (first name is actually Richard) who just moved to Barre. He’s going to come up to our roleplaying game this Sunday in Derby Line. He may be open to starting a more local RPG group and also looking to play some board games. He is also on Facebook. If you are havign difficulties finding them, just say so and I can send them a message.
Thanks Bethany,
Wow, Barre to Derby Line, quite the drive. I will try looking those three up on facebook. I’m just concerned with etiquette, coming out of nowhere to message them.
When contacting them on Facebook, just let them know I suggested you contact them. I’m friends with all of them so they won’t be thinking ’Bethany, who?’. Hopefully that’ll help with a message out of the blue. I’ll also send them a message too letting them know they should hear from you.

Hey, Seamus! Nice to see you again.
I’m not hip to the Barre scene, but you might touch base with Bob Menzel, Joe Reil and Neil Carr, who are in your area and here on the site.
Tyler! Good to see you too. I will look them up. Joe Reil and I have chatted on occasion, but have never been able to get together.
It’s a ways off, but I’ll also throw out that Green Mountain Gamers typically holds the winter game day in Barre, mid to late January.
