DESCRIPTION:Mega Spring Meltdown 2020 is Canceled\nIt’s with great disappointment that we are forced to announce the cancellation of Mega Spring Meltdown this year because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The health of our community is most important and we feel that we have a duty to do what we can to protect the vulnerable in our extended gaming family. We will be refunding all preregistration fees. If you have reservations for accommodations you should cancel them. The Green Mountain Gamers have planned for the eventuality that we might have to cancel this event (since Winter can go through April here in Vermont and blizzards happen)\, and so we have the resources to hold our seasonal game days (circumstances permitting) for the foreseeable future. We already have space reserved for Mega Spring Meltdown 2021\, and we hope to see you there! \n	\n  \n\nAs the snow melts\, so do the gamers rouse from their winter hibernation. The church is located right in downtown Barre and is near several restaurants. \nParking at the church-\nThere are 4 parking spaces\, one of which is handicapped behind the church. Parking in front of the dumpster space is OK. Next door is the Barre Granite Association\, you can use their spaces. There are about 6 if you park carefully & are inventive. On the Washington St.\, on the side of the park there are also parking spaces. \nANIMALS\nWe permit registered service animals to attend events\, when allowed by the venue. After you play the game\, write your name and contact info on a piece of paper and deposit your entry into the receptacle assigned to the game you played. Play the game once. Enter your name once. Play the game twice\, enter your name again. Each time you play\, enter your name. You do not need to be present to win. We will draw the Play to Win winners at 7pm. Bring any games you wish to sell and Quarterstaff Games will sell them for you while you get to play games! You set the price and Quarterstaff will get a 15% commission. This will be available in the morning and last until it runs out. \nThe Lake Morey Resort will offer food sales from 11AM to 7:30PM in the Lakeside Dining Room. In 2015\, they offered concession sales from late morning to late afternoon. In the evening\, they did open the bar and changed over to a pub menu (cooked to order food). \nIn the town of Fairlee\, food is available at Wing’s Supermarket deli\, Leda’s Pizza\, the Fairlee Diner (for breakfast and lunch only)\, and Samurai Soulfood. Drive a few minutes over the CT river to Orford\, NH to Peyton’s Place. Head north 5 minutes on I-91 one exit to Bradford. Right off the exit is The Hungry Bear. If you turn left at the traffic lights and drive into downtown Bradford\, you will find the Colatina Exit and Chan’s House Chinese restaurant. Or cross the Connecticut River and head south on route 10 to Lyme\, NH to Stella’s.
